Off-grid done with intelligence.
Solar hot water actually hot, compost toilet actually clean, vegan food actually delicious. Maya & Prem have built something rare. 60% of revenue going to the village school is the cherry.

Cob cabins under sal trees.
I have stayed in eco-resorts in Costa Rica, Bhutan, Kerala. This one is honestly the best built — cob walls, a real composting toilet, a roof made of reclaimed terracotta. Carbon-negative is not a slogan here.

Forest at 3am sounds like a chorus.
I lay in the cabin at 3am listening to the forest — owls, jackals, an unidentified rustle. Terrifying and beautiful. Maya led a forest walk at 5am that I will remember forever.

Phase II, take my money.
I invested ₨ 2L in the Phase II expansion the day after my stay. That's how good it is. Twelve more cabins coming — get on the waitlist.

Questions guests have asked
Q.How off-grid are you really? Any wifi?
A.Solar power 24/7, but we limit guest wifi to the common kitchen 6-9pm. Cabins have no electricity beyond a single LED. That's the pact.
— Maya Tharu · Ben H. from Australia
Q.Are the cabins really fully vegan? My partner is celiac.
A.Fully vegan — no dairy, eggs, or honey. We have a separate gluten-free kitchen station and millet/rice flour breads. Tell us when booking. Sourcing is from the Tharu Women's Veg Collective.
