Cha-do at dusk on the temple terrace.

Sunim Hye-jin's tea ceremony at sunset — 90 minutes of slow attention. The temple garden in spring is quiet glory. A piece of Korea in Lumbini, done with full discipline.

Templestay-grade, in Nepal.

Bibimbap at lunch, 108 prostrations at 5am, Seon meditation in the evening. Sunim Hye-jin is a serious teacher. Four days felt like fourteen, in the best way.

The celadon roof at sunrise.

I'm not Korean, not Buddhist — and I was welcomed completely. Sunim Hye-jin's tea ceremony explained more about emptiness than any book I've read.

할머니의 집처럼 — like grandmother's house.

Sunim's voice in the evening chanting was my grandmother's lullaby. I cried quietly into my pillow on the third night. A precious place.
